Legionella pneumonia (Legionnaire’s disease):
it is systemic disease. it is also called traveler pneumonia.
Agent:
non-enteric gram negative rod but causes Atypical pneumonia
Motility:
10% if untreated.
Clinical features:
- low grade fever
- dry cough
- mild dyspnea
- headache
- myalgia
- arthralgia
- nausea
- vomitting
- diarrhea
- neurological involvements(fits/altered state of consciousness)
- hepatitis
